slimjim
"Up to 19 h.p. and 15 lb.-ft. of torque; Up to 37% increase in airflow" 19bhp/15tqs... from an intake? How can they LEGALLY make these claims?

BulletMagnet
Might be worth asking eBay seller by what way those gains were proven. @ OP Have a read around the forum and you'll soon find out that most claimed gains are only short-lived and only really stick if the ECU is remapped by a tuner like Abbey Motorsport. coldel
That is ridiculous, as far as I know I see air intakes such: Lots of noise:Probable loss of power = the above No change in noise:Some intangible gains in power = panel filter Maybe a bit of both = closed air intake I am astonished that there is this preconception that a piece of metal bolted to the side of it will somehow 'shield' the open cone from the heat of the engine. Theres my unresearched, unquantified tuppence worth!

Spacer has been my best mod IMHO
rtbiscuit
all claims have to be accurate, but how they get them and what they test on is completely up to you. there is no supporting evidence on the ambient temperature between tests, how the machine was calibrated etc. it may well have seen a 19bhp gain but you'll never see it in real world terms. also to me considered is what is the filtration of that filter like, it may be brilliant at letting more air in; but is it still capable of keeping the crap out of your engine.
