AK350Z
Myself and the good lady did the Great North Swim in Windermere yesterday. It's one mile in open water, and I think about 8000 people did it over the weekend. I managed 34m10s breast stroke, as my front crawl is pretty poor, and Fran did 45m50s front crawl. We weer both pretty happy with that, as well as making it out of the mass start alive!
James B
I'm doing the great london swim in 2 weeks. Have to say the location and non green water look more appealing for the north swim! Good time for breaststroke! Think I did 32 last year with a mix of crawl and breaststroke.
bronzee
Nicely done. Start part is always the worst. Have you two done other swims like that?
AK350Z
Nicely done. Start part is always the worst. Have you two done other swims like that? We've been doing the open water swimming for a couple of years now, mostly in the lakes (not keen on salt water ). We would have done last years swim but it was cancelled due to blue-green alge! This was our first mass start.
