Will I need to buy a uk powerpack as well?

Sarnie
What is the price of The Bose Soundock in the UK? £250. They are going for about £100 - £125 in the US
polarbear
You'll probably find that the power supply is dual voltage 115/220-240, but best check out the spec on the BOSE website. TBH I'd go for something cheaper such as Altec as the quality lost with the low bit-rate encoding on the iPod will make the BOSE set-up a bit of a waste of time. Plus you never know how long she'll still be your girlfriend
Digsy
I couldn't recommend the Soundock enough. It's not high end hi-fi but compared to most of the crap sold to "complement" the Ipod the sound quality is great. It looks pretty cool and functionality is fine with a little credit card sized remote.
