Sgt Wilson
According to their pamphlet named 'NISSAN-HISTORY IN THE MAKING' (in the welcome pack received with my Zed), they fire diamonds from point blank range from a compressed air gun at over 100mph at the paint. They further claim that '...If it isn't tough enough to resist, it isn't used.' I suggest they should have fired some hearts, clubs and spades at it and the jokers too for good measure. I can't believe the gall of these tw@'s. I love my Zed but the paintwork couldn't resist marsh mallows.
Removed
agreed, but we are in good company (unfortunately). Since the law doesn't allow lead to be used in paints, the water based ones are most definitely less resistant to stone chips. Mind you, I'm not sure other manufacturers make such bold claims though I thought by now with all the complaints, examination requests (of paint thickness) etc they would have dropped the claim
