Ekona
I had no issues getting rid of mine, but only because I'd stripped it back to standard so it didn't even feel like my car any more, and also because I was fulfilling a dream by getting the 911. I miss it, and I'm sad because I didn't get time to do all the mods to it that I wanted, but because it was the most manly car I've ever owned I didn't feel a great attachment to it the way I did the VXR or the MR2. That's not to slight the car as it was an absolute hoot for the 3 years I owned it, which is the longest I've ever kept a car, it was just a case of moving on. docwra
Yep, mine is not overly loved by me although the missus seems to - its a great car but I dont feel for it the way I do my GTI-6 (they will have to prise the keys from my cold dead hands on that one) That said, recent test drives (including a 997C2S as mentioned on this thread) have left me pretty cold. It will be replaced eventually by M3 or IS-F, not sure Ill love them either and will probably still keep driving the pug

I think thats the main reason I found it so easy to part with it, once I had stripped it then it never really felt like my car anymore
Miss 350Z
how come you sold if you love it so much? Number of reasons, boyfriend bought the Porsche cos its got 4 seats which we need for the weekends when we have his little boy. Two sportscars was a bit excessive and impractical. But the main reason was that I need to get a 4x4 to tow a horse box. Can't afford to have multiple vehicles, so the poor Zed had to go. Was very unhappy about it going, but had no choice. However, the new owner loves it to bits and had a grin from ear to ear the day he came to pick it up and has already priced up new stainless exhaust etc, so the Zed is probably chuffed to bits LOL! One day when I have saved up (2025?!) I will have a GT-R, or maybe if I win the lottery an LFA...!! haha Til then I will "slum" it with the 911. hehe
