HassanZ
Hi all, I got my RAYS refurbished a couple of months ago and he offered to spray the rim edge on the RAYS an orange colour to match them with the Brembos, my Alezan seats, headlight reflectors and front bumper reflectors. Here is a photo of the car: Here is a quick photoshop:

HassanZ
The orange line is meant to be much thinner, the same size at the lips on the edge of the wheels. Do you think it looks ugly because of the thickness of the line?
Stew
It would probably work on black wheels. Get some motorcycle rim tape and try it for real. It'll cost peanuts!
ioneabee
Also you could try these http://www.alloygator.co.uk/home.asp

michael2516
I was thinking of a white lip on my black rays, but after seing that, dont think ill bother, get them resprayed black or gunmetal the orange would ruin the car imo sorry
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Personally, I think you only get away with coloured edges on dark rims. You could try it but I reckon you might be dissapointed.

brown7758
+1 on the above, Colour lips work well on dark rims, really don't think it will work on the Silver.. but if thats what you think will work, as always 'your car, your mods' good luck with choosing
350ZDan
Personally im not into the coloured lips, slight tackiness for me.. Although some do work well. That does not!
HassanZ
I just had the wheels refurbished and I specifically opted to go for a lighter metallic colour. I went for a darker colour on my silver BMW 330ci and I began to regret it, it made the wheels look smaller. The silver colour makes the wheels look larger and very shiny in the sunlight and at night. Black RAYS in my opinion look wrong. It makes the car look molested and cheap. But hey...all to their own hey I was trying to keep the orange theme going with the gunmetal throughout the car. The wheel man then suggested the orange lip idea (silimilar to the Brembo's) which I thought I'd look into as it may either look VERY good or VERY bad. I will try the suggestions mentioned above and update you with some photos

buster
imo they would need to be black like my rays...... imo on a silver zed if you go for black wheels it should be a silver lip.
MITZ@CougarStore
Hassan, step away from the orange paint...

Omar-s
imo they would need to be black like my rays...... imo on a silver zed if you go for black wheels it should be a silver lip. Buster those rays look awesome in that colour with the orange lip. Goes well with the colour of the car and breaks up the black alloy and tyre nicely. Dont suppose you have a full on side shot of your car? :-)
