adammitch69
My clutch is dying so getting quotes for fitting a new one and flywheel (cheers ZMANALEX) Lockwood in Manchester wanted £396 inc vat - they are a highly praised garage and I use them for servicing as do lots on here, but that seems pretty expensive! Anyone got one fitted recently and paid a similar amount?? cheers Adam
coldel
Can't help you there mate, get all my work done for nowt (dad and brother both car mechanics) but I am sure i have read some comments quoting around the £300 mark? Took my dad/brother with no ramp about 3 1/2 hours to do the work - so imagine a garage with a ramp should be able to do it in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on whether they have to spend time learning as they go as they might not have done one on a 350z before. SteveRS
That price sounds expensive, might be worth shopping around. I supplied the parts and got my clutch and fly fitted for £250 by Eurospec, a jap car specialist near me.
Ekona
Sounds fair to me. £50p/h for 8 hours work-ish I guess? If you've used them before and trust them then I'd pay £100 more than some other garage who I didn't know from Adam. I can't remember what I paid for mine now though. Ekona
If they've never done one before, they'll want to give themselves a good day to cover their arses in case stuff goes wrong. Or it might be 2x men for 4 hours, not impossible if they want to get an apprentice on it as well.

michael2516
I paid 300 for clutch, flywheel and front wheel hub to be fitted, so sounds about right!
Blacky
Book time is 6hrs I believe, so an independant at say £40phr = £240+vat. Hopefully they will charge for the actual time taken like f**K THEY WILL

jaxx
how much would you be looking at a place like RS tuining in Leeds? they must have done this job dozens of times but they are classed as specialists, interesting if anyone knows. food for thought.
