marzman
Hi, As the title says - do you need a spare bulb kit when driving in europe? (Going to the 'ring in a few weeks...) A few web sites say you do, and others say its recommended. I dont fancy shelling out £40 for a pair of HID's...
Ricey
Depends which countries your driving in mate. Check my driving in Europe thread (on phone at mo so can't find it for you). Mart Mac posted a link to the AA website with all the info in.
Cookbot
You're not going to be able to replace one at 3am on a dark European road anyway, they're of mega awkward design!
Wasso
I never purchased any, although in Germany I think it's compulsory. I drove 2,500 miles last year across Europe and never got stopped. Thing is, if you do get stopped a nice little fine will be in your pocket.
Tom S
It is a requirement in Germany but you're never going to be able to fit them anyway. I just have a generic £10 bulb kit which I keep in my car if I'm off to Germany, I've never been stopped so I don't know if they'd care or even notice that they're not for my car.
