Given the rarity of these items, what other more readily available exhaust sounds most like the Nismo, in your opinion, in tone and volume? The nismo exhaust with decats or highflow cats is a totally different beast. The likes of miltek and scorpion are similar but id say the nismo is unique. rtbiscuit Posted May 12, 2011 Share Posted May 12, 2011 personally i think the nismo exhaust is just a modified stock exhaust with branding on; and then people pay through the nose for it. quality isn't always the best either. the flexijoints break. and the noise is just a slightly deeper stock tone. lots of really good kit out there for less money and a far better sound, IMHO but if you want to be a nismo ho; you'll need the exhaust as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its all based on the You Tube vids which I know arent accurate, but the sound for some reason comparatively across the vids sounded most pleasing to the ear. Yes i can see the resemblance And only paid £699 for it at the time. No issue's with mine whatsoever and still looks just as good today. And take my word for it sounds way better than stock and still keeps it sounding "classy" unlike some systems i could mention. The usual culprits have decats also. Unresonated those'll be as raspy as hell. Y pipe as people have mentioned, quality isn't the greatest, but I still love the nismo sound. For me, it isn't really a slightly deeper stock tone, the stock tone is lower, the nismo is considerably louder. ianphampton Posted May 12, 2011 Share Posted May 12, 2011 Last November Abbey Motorsport fitted a Japspeed Y pipe and remapped my import roadster, and I must say I loved the way she feels after this. I'm thinking about doing the rest of the exhaust as well (for gains in performance as well as sounding better) Does anyone have experience of the Japspeed exhaust?
