TomS
So far I've managed to avoid any major potholes to and from work but today I decided to try a different lane to avoid traffic that normally builds up a right turn. Bad move! Hit a pothole in the lane that I never normally go in probably doing around 30-40mph and it gave a nice big thud noise. Had a quick look at the wheel when I got out the car but I had to get into work. I was just wondering what should I be looking for on the underside of the car that might be out of shape/damaged from it. Might just be me being overcautious but I want to check that I'm not driving round with a damage front passenger side possibly making things worse. I'll check over the wheel and tyre after work but I haven't got access to a ramp or anything unless I took it to a garage where they might think I'm being a weirdo checking for nothing. Thanks! JetSet
Just whizz the wheel off and check for any buckling. Zed's seem to be pretty tough when it comes to potholes, I hit a massive one during the winter also at about 30 and couldn't find any damage at all. TomS
Cheers for the replies! Will see if I can get the wheel off tonight and see if I can find any damage, hopefully not!
