AK350Z
I chuffing love the shuttle. Strapping yourself to a massive boiling fuel tank attached to two solid fuel rockets that can't be switched off! Talk about the Right Stuff...
Simon+Kat
I agree.....just a shame they kept dropping out of the sky!! Awe inspiring machine though, and very brave and skilled pilots.
JetSet
I did a tour of Kennedy Space centre in 1994, one of the shuttles was on the pad, 2 days away from launch so I couldn't get too near. I was staying in Orlando and after much debate decided not to go to the launch...the 06:00 launch time was the big decider . Anyway, tuned in to the TV to find that the launch was aborted at something like T -3 seconds . Did manage to go inside the replica Shuttle though Pete
paulie
Mr Paulie was telling me recently that he remembered getting out of class in primary school as the space shuttle was doing a flyby (piggybacked) I thought he was mental but turns out it did! http://www.hiddenglasgow.com/forums/vie ... ?f=3&t=
