ross@japex
Just to clear things up. We are happy to fit parts supplied by reputable dealers and traders on this forum & have had no issues with them to date. All parts supplied by traders on this forum have been of excellent quality and we have had no problems with fitment issues etc. The issues we have had in the past is when we are given inferior parts supplied by customers which then fail after being fitted or turn out to be the wrong parts etc. The vehicle is then off the road while the customer has to sort out the problem. (No trader on this forum). We have to be careful when taking on work with parts supplied by customers if we don't know where they have come from. This is because we are commited to producing work of the highest quality and supplying our customers with a warranty on any work that we carry out. This includes parts and labour. If we don't supply the parts then we cannot put a warranty on the parts. The warranty should still be valid with the supplier and should be honoured if the parts are at fault but it will not cover any labour costs to replace the faulty parts. The Exedy clutch kits are of the highest quality and O.E spec and we are more than happy to fit kits supplied by ZMANALEX or any other trader on this forum. Hope this clears things up. It's difficult to write something like this and the last thing we want to do is upset any owners or traders on here. Thanks Ross and Stuart
ZMANALEX
Thanks for clearing this issue up guys I did not think that you would have any issues fitting genuine parts supplied by the customer or from a reliable source. Guess Octet (Adrian) was just getting a bit confused due to the "stress" that he is under at the moment. Alex.
Adrian@TORQEN
Will leave the things as they are regarding the warranty discussion, no point of creating more confusion.... MANY THANKS ALEX FOR SUCH A GREAT, GREAT SERVICE, more feedback on the appreciation thread! However, clutch kindly dispatched by ZMANALEX on Friday for delivery on Saturday, but of course UPS left me down thinking it was due for Monday before 9am instead. However, received the clutch kit, fly wheel, gearbox oil and dc moly today in the process of being fitted as we speak. Bellow some photos I took in the process of removing the old kit. Also B&M short shifter is being installed to replace the stock one. New clutch kit, fly wheel, oil, bearing and dc moly from ZMANALEX: Gearbox being removed: New kit on the left versus old kit on the right: Old fly wheel: Lunch break at the moment, will keep you posted how it goes today. Once again, thanks everyone for helping me on this thread / forum and special thanks to Nissan Wizzard - Mr Alex T, aka ZMANALEX! Adrian@TORQEN
Lighter, but the noise before 2000rpm on the single mass fly wheel is a bit annoying perhaps until you get used to it...
