DoogyRev
Ask for someone who has fitted a 350z screen to attend and also make sure they order the plastic strip across the top of screen. When I had mine done, the chap turned up, took one look and said "see you next week end when the strip has been ordered" ........ and make sure they put your windscreen wipers back on the right way round
coldel
Nightmare indeed mate! I got a 1/2inch crack on mine, came with the car, thought I was being clever by thinking I could just get it done on the insurance once I got it back. Turns out once National Windscreens came along and looked at it that the previous owner had got a DIY job done on it and it was full of resin but not done within a vacum So only option now is to replace the windscreen, so will be watching this thread with interest! DoogyRev
You can take the B-Pillar's off if you want...... just for your own pleasure though... got feck all to do with the windscreen You need to undo the A-Pillar.... the guy who did mine just did the front, just up past the top of windscreen, no need for it all to come off. The bolts are up under the door/window rubbers.

DoogyRev
Why do you have to use auto glass ? They are robbers I guess that's who Dave's insurers use, if you pay for windscreen protection then why not use it
spursmaddave
Indeed Jim... Has to be approved by Insurance and then I only pay £75 I already had a chip that had been repaired by the previous owner... I meant the A Pillar
Ian
Had mine done a few days ago, they refused to come to the house to do it though & said it had to be done in workshop conditions
Michael robinson
I would check with your insurer as when I went to change mine when I was with admiral they were going to class it as a small claim so I ended up just paying for it my self it was only £130 by a local company . Just worth a check
Ian
I'm with Admiral & it wasn't classed as a claim

My top screen rubber is loose, this could be the reason if it has been removed at some point and is not reuseable.
