Husky
It went down for about 30 seconds or something at about 1am? Not a problem but thought I'd say. It's faster than a greased otter these days.

We seem to have a spike at ~1am every day - no idea what it is, but I'm guessing its a bad bot. Its on my hitlist to work out whats causing it

Are you serving that off you home connection? my business broadband is serving *hosting the chat at the moment, real easy to setup on a VM (Virtualbox) Ubuntu backend (so I can wipe it, rebuild it whenever), doesn't eat much cpu or memory either. (although not had a chance to really stress test it)

HaydnH
Is the forum running *really* slowly for anyone else right now? The most noticeable thing is when clicking "Post reply" the font colour's take *ages* to load. Don't know if it's my connection or the forum. HaydnH
Disabled link scanner in AVG and all is now fine... useful one for the knowledge base. Further reading mentions: "A serious bug in a component of the new AVG 2011 anti-malware products causes computers to flood websites with unnecessary HTTP requests and in many cases prevents users from properly using their browsers." Maybe this was actually something to do with the problems the site has been seeing and the recent fixes have pushed the issue out on to browsers rather than the server? (Which is a good thing!).
