Is early afternoon "too early", as may be leaving Ayr fairly early I'll be there way earlier than that, Mr. Railgun. I've only got a gentle 40 min drive. Railgun
Coming from north of the border, 'leisurely' is a prerequisite! At least it is if I want beer money for the weekend!

martinmac
I will be leaving Kendal about 1300 if you fancy meeting up. I go the scenic route via A66 and Scotch corner.
Railgun
Could be cool mate, first time down there and all. I'll find out what time I'm getting away at closer to the big day. Don't wanna hold ya up if I'm 'tasked' before then.
martinmac
No probs, just drop me a pm. For info its about 1 1/2 hours from me to Scotch corner and about the same again down to calverton.
rothers2901
Just had a trial run at putting up the tent. (Bloody Hell) if you can imagine trying to put up a 4 man tent, on your own, on a concrete drive way, no pegs to hold it down, and blowing a bit of a gale. It was like holding onto a hot air balloon on amphetamine . Had the tent for about 10 years only used it once in that time and think I got it inside out then. So don’t be surprised to find a blithering wreck, pencils up his nose in the corner of the field sometime Friday evening .
Railgun
I'm bringing a pop up tent pal. Best thing I've bought for ages. I'll give Ye a hand with it, though I'm not entirely certain how useful my input will be.
rothers2901
We can always share a few bottles, look at the tent and hope some kind soul will take petty
Lincolnbaggie
It'll be fine Rothers - a few jars first then we'll all have a bash. Have it up in no time (though God knows what it'll look like) (Just read that back and it sounds so wrong somehow).
