ewan221
As the Zed is likely to be sold tomorrow the search is on for replacement. Initially was looking at Jag XKRs but all the ones I've seen have been really rusty. I have always wanted a Tvr Chimaera so that's on my list ( although may have same heavy clutch prob) others I have been looking at are S2000, Z4, M3 and Z3m coupe. Any other suggestions ???? coldel
Good selection there, liking the Maserati! I must admit being an essex boy I am one day hoping to snap up an old Ford Escort and drop a decent lump in it and refurbish it...you know the sort of project car you always imagine. An old Escort Mexico would be awesome. Some more... st3ven1
From another teddy bear, I'd personally go with a TT Manual Supra You would be able to pick up a nice facelift VVTI Supra for that money. If you have never been in one, give it a try. The smiles per gallon alone, is worth it! And as previously mentioned, the gains from a standard car can be had very easily and cheaply. Make sure you get the manual gearbox, as it will hold it money more than an auto will.
geoff-r
The XKRs seem to rust badly if not looked after on the other hand when garaged all their life they're mint
ewan221
Looking through the jag forums there does seem to be an element of poor design as it was based on the old XJS platform, there is a thread on piston heads that has pictures of some with huge holes in the footwells in 8 year old cars . Looks some people realised early and got some rust proofing in so there are still some in great condition. I love the way the cars look but now crossed of my list of possibles
