rabbitstew
I'd prefer a black one, deffo an auto and I have a budget of 8-10k, is that plausable?I cannot believe the price of insurance for a roadster is like 1k and i am 37 with 12 years NCB..rippoff UK:( Insurance wise.... yep... they arnt cheap. Im nearly 40 and have 18 years NCB, most of which has been gained driving high performance cars. The cheapest I found was nearly £800. As a comparison from trying different cars on confused.com, a Peugeot 205 Gti came in at 85quid (fully comp), a Golf GT TDI came in at 250quid, a Porsche Boxster was £600 and a M3 SMG came in at £500. For some reason all the insurance companies treated the zed as if it was some sort of Ferrari or Lambo. There are some "specialist" insurance companies out there, but I actually found they came in at about £1200->£1400. Admiral, Adrian Flux and Elephant were all the cheapest for me. Good luck! JetSet
So i take it they are no companys left that specialise in importing from Japan anymore? Can't say for sure but the big one in Chester closed down a while ago. As far as Zed Imports go , I think the bubble burst around 2006, I think the strength of the Yen and the drop in value of U.K Zed's meant the end for cheap imports. There was an imported bulge bonnet 2007 model that one of the members here went to view recently but that's the only one I know of.
