DJ Dunk
I paid £280 all in from Beadles Maidstone. Quoted me that price the phone but tried to charge me £330 on the day, they dropped the price straight away for me when I mentioned it I think I was originally mis-quoted and would expect the nearer £330. Guest prescience
The thing is though Tim, when you resell, for a UK car the difference between having a full main dealer service history and not is IMO worth more than the differential cost
captint
So I don't need a new air filter, will supply my own oil, so will the do- Gearbox and brake fluid Washer fluid Spark flugs Oil Filter and so all else, not worth the money, but I still have 5 months of warrently and want to have the option to use it right up to when I go FI. Bugger, any point in buying a nismo oilfilter
Guest prescience
spark plugs are not replaced until 54k

captint
Yeah, I agree, but I want the option for example if my gear box goes belly up to get it done under warrenty, if I go specialist, the stealers will tell me to s@d off
lomoto
Yeah, I agree, but I want the option for example if my gear box goes belly up to get it done under warrenty, if I go specialist, the stealers will tell me to s@d off no they wont , under European law , if the vehicle is serviced to makers standards and genuine parts/recommended oils etc. are used you will be OK..despite any scaremongering by Main dealer service outlets.. captint
Not that I don't believe you, but is there anything to substantiate this.
ir_fuel
Imho Nissan only gives you warranty if it has been serviced by an authorized Nissan garage.
ir_fuel
Oh, and even if EU law states this, you will be the one that has to prove that the car has been serviced correctly when you want to claim warranty, and i dont see how you will be able to do that. lomoto
Not that I don't believe you, but is there anything to substantiate this. it is fact... you can do a Google if you like you could even ask your local Nissan dealer and watch 'em squirm Oh Ok here you go chapter and verse for the disbelievers http://www.oft.gov.uk/News/Press+releas ... 170-03.htm
