fosk
I think this is all that would be needed, and would mean connection to the existed BOSE speakers/sub and steering controls, and given ipod connection, and bluetooth for a phone: - Head Unit - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cde126bti.html Facia adapter - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=9598 Adapter for steering wheel - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/incarte ... aptor.html http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=7875 The thing I am mainly unsure about is that the head will power all the speakers and the sub?? Is this needed for that? http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=7879

fosk
Ahh, even the same head, so not a good idea! When I sort it, I will post on here exactly what I bought, so when someone like me comes along again, they can just buy what I did to get it working! Haha. Just want as simple change as possible for as little cash as possible, with bluetooth and ipod connection.

fosk
Okay, so need a head where the preamp outs are 4v to make it easier it would seem. Anyone recommend one (where I can get steering wheel control adapter, so alpine, pioneer etc) that is under £200?

Cheers, thats a bit OTT for my needs though, don't want DVD, just seems an expensive extra that will never be used.
spursmaddave
Line boosters will sort out any lack of volume, they are about £20.
fosk
The car goes to my brother on Friday, so all of this is for him as I'm going to Canada for a year to work, but now I think I know what is needed, I will get able to get it sorted for him, will get a booster if needed. Might just get ICE Direct to sort it as they are nearby anyway.
