Demolition49
Hey guys my cars done just over 26k miles and since the cars going in to get HKS lines fitted plus ferodo pads and 660 fluid plus a remap at abbey, do you reckon the discs are ok and how much life is left in them? I took a quick vid to show you all. Thoughts? Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmfhmwsKnJo
un1eash
Hard to tell, how big is the lip on the edge?

rabbitstew
I guess it depends on how the car has been driven. Mines on 23k and the MOT guy the other week advised that the front disks only had about 3k left on them.
Demolition49
Hmm so a tricky one it is then... im not sure if i should replace my discs, they aren't exactly cheap!
elfman
if you later need to change discs you'll have to change pads to so could be worth getting them done if you think they're to worn.
slimjim
My rears had a lip on the disc, only 3-4mm ... and the rear pads needed changing. I am ALWAYS preaching about how you can't skimp of brakes or tires... So, putting my money where my mouth it, I ordered some DBA 4000's and DS2500 ALL ROUND from ZManAlex yesterday, hoping they will be here today so I can fit them Again... only TWO things you should NOT skimp on... Brakes and Tires. Only thing that stop you. Just my tupenth....

I was VERY surprised how bloody expensive they were! Was sure "performance" discs I used to buy for the DelSol were under £100 a corner. they must have been pants ZMAlex did me a good deal. you better speak to him, see what he can do for you. Question you have to ask is... how much is it worth to have FULL confidence in your braking? £250 a corner is a LOT... but I think it's worth it. neo-ninja
christ £250 a corner - no idea they were that pricey!

(And fitting) And they are the CHEAPER ones... the PF ones are £550 for JUST FRONT DISCS!
