Will370z
attended my second activity day at north Weald air field day today. So much fun. Was great to have Darren join phil and I this time. He left the zed at home and brought the Mazda and what a great little car it was. Man that thing flew. Same schedule and circuits as last time but this time it wasn't raining. Unlike last time the zed didn't let go around the high speed corner, managed 70 and she could still have taken more. Unfortunately she's got more grip than I have balls so I couldn't go any faster. Some nice cars there, brand new Audi r8 convertible who really wanted to play with his new toy. He span on the high speed bend and span all the way off the other end of the runway into the grass, god knows how fast he was going. Skyline there was very quick, and an Audi engined Elise was lightning quick. However no one spent as long sideways as our Darren. Even the instructors were cheering for him. He did kill a few cones though trying to beat his time. Camera batteries died part way though I did take some videos so I will post them later. We really really should sort a zed group out for this. Huge thanks to spursmaddave for being at the other end of the phone when my engine light came on. Gave me all the necessary info to perform the reset (man what a fluffing hassle that was, couldn't keep count of the flashes) buti managed to reset it and continue. I owe you another beer mate Cheers Darren for taking for a spin, man that was so much fun. Hopefully it will come out well on the video and my swearing will not be too obvious. What a rush. Chris`I
Glad you had a good day Will - they are a great experience. Great to get the TC off and have a blast unassisted You did well to get around the high speed bend at 70MPH. Last time I was there 65 was the most I managed before the 350 spun. spursmaddave
Glad you had another great day... I am not jealous in the slightest Happy to help with the reset, hopefully nothing too serious just the result of some over exuberant fun

Cheers chris, I have to be honest though, 70 took me past the drain line. Managed to get away with 65 though. Was impressed with how playful the zed was in the dry, especially on the afternoon tracks.
AK350Z
I barely managed to trigger the TC an Cadwell the other week in the dry, on a good surface the mechanical grip in considerable!

Will370z
Finally got some pics and vids uploaded - heres a small sample Photos taken by phils friend dave, cheers matey. The start line The cars Darren bringing up the rear as usual The focus Let the fun commence Skyline sounded so nice and gave the audi a run for its money Darren sideways I think you get the theme of darrens day I think he got a little competitive, emptied his boot and put the hood up for improved aerodynamics Golf had a lot of fun cutting the grass My little roady Some vids Excuse the shake but i spent so much time trying to hold on whilst darren 'drifted' around the circuit - man it was a lot of fun Another run My attempt - this circuit was so much fun, zed like to play on this one Me on the high speed corner, car sounds good but the video makes it seem so slow - was going 65 though Afternoon circuit Darren shows me how to do it properly

Darren-B
Well done Will for posting about the day, It was a really good day, the little mazda loved it and performed excellently, the Meister R suspension is fantastic, being able to adjust the damping within seconds is great for when I was switching between setting times & killing tyres I shall definately be getting a set for the Zed in due course. As for this photo Will The focus Im not to sure about the focus, more like struggling with a monumental hangover I shall try to post my pictures soon

neo-ninja
+1 I'll have to check the dates don't conflict with anything else such as the Wales trip i tried doing a feeler thread a week or so ago, but no one seemed that interested at the time, but i guess now others have seen this thread they might be. for £50 it seems like a bargain. One thing i was going to ask though is how many goes do you actually get on the 20 people days, is it like afew attempts at each thing, or litrally one pratice one real then your done? Darren-B
I'd say you probably get a good 10-15 runs on the high speed bend, & a fair few more on the circuits in the afternoon. Definately worth the money

Will370z
You do get quite a few runs in, that is unless your engine light comes on....cry. Seriously don't worry you will get plenty of time to have fun in your car, it's great bang for your buck. Umm maybe bang is the wrong word.......
