WRCT-2
Most people on the US forums say that full boost is from approx 4000rpm.How can mapping change the gas flow that is driving the turbo??? that is what governs boost pressure and spool up. At WRC we map for engine efficiency by scaling the 3 main constituent parts to work in harmony. [AFR/Ign/Boost] The desired result is achieved by getting the correct amount of fuel delivered at a particular throttle position or load point, so as to avoid the engine being bogged down by trying to digest too much fuel. The better the mixture, the more efficient the combustion process becomes, thereby allowing the engine to rev freer and produce the gas quantities required to spool up the turbo. A lot of mappers pour in fuel as an engine comes on boost thereby killing its efficiency, this is sometimes mistaken for turbo lag. Baptist
Thats true, but you cant change the physical characteristics of the engine and the turbo, which ultimately govern boost spool. The single is quite laggy in comparison to the TT kit. Still a good price though.
ir_fuel
The single is quite laggy in comparison to the TT kit. Still a good price though. Of course, if that weren't the case they wouldn't have bothered making a TT kit in the first place
Baptist
The TT kit also has alot more scope for power than the single. My point is that mapping wont make the single turbo nearly lag free like the twin turbo kit.
captint
Allan I also note that the UK price is the same as the US price but in pounds, why the differential (labour excluded)

Removed
for import duty and VAT you roughly add 25% to the $ price and it should be covered easily...

Removed
transport costs? do you think the US chaps don't include them since their kits come from Australia too?
ir_fuel
Maybe the US chaps have an uncle who does US-Australia a lot in his private jet?
