david 164
why is it that you dont see many chilli red zeds for sale,or on the road?is it because they are not very desirable, only asking because im looking at one over the weekend, any views? Ekona
Not a popular colour, that's all. Most went for a shade of Dull Silver or Boring Grey, or a Sunset or Temper car as orange cars were all the rage back then.
david 164
the wifes got a red mini, and i like it,and all the time i did stock car racing my cars have been red, think they stand out a bit,i suppose it all about personal preference! Husky
its a shame as thee chillis are utterly stunning! most are boring silver or rusty orange for some reason. I guess all the ones bought on company car schemes probably have to be silver for resale? thats a random guess though.
martinmac
Its a great colour for the zed IMO.
Chris`I
As trends go, silver/grey are the most popular colours for any car in this country. For that reason, dealerships/NMGB will order them in that colour for their cars. Customers can of course order their own (as you would to get a Chilli) but dealerships want what they percieve as the popular colours on show as they are most likely to sell. Its a case of what we percieve to look good (in this case I love chilli red) vs what dealerships think will sell.
elfman
Silver has a easy resale value, i think people went for orange as an alternative because it's kinda the official 350z colour? i always thought it was anyway.
Chilli Red
its a shame as thee chillis are utterly stunning! . Thanks Dawg They and the Rosso red are as rare as hens teeth and getting rarer. You have great taste. There was one for sale not so long ago on the forum.

Sunset was used for a lot of the publication shots, I guess as it was the most exciting colour on launch
