shire350Z
Standard sidelight bulbs look prity crap so went for some LED ones off ebay to match the xenons but they last for about a month and gone through a few sets now so tried some phillips 'blue' bulbs but they werent that different to the standard ones. Just wondered if anyone had found some decent bulbs that give the light blue look without being chavvy
BulletMagnet
I had a set of 4 LED sidelight bulbs that lasted me 2 years. To replace them I've ordered some from eBay from the same guy that sells the LED foglight, for those that have done the rear cluster clear out. Not put them on yet, as i have only got them thru the post today and it's raining outside http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2pcs-501-W5W-Wide ... 1967306938

Sam Mcgoo
I use the 5 LED type as-well. Got a set on ebay, one broke after 4 months but they replaced it free of charge. I have just got a set from autobulbs (same type) as I hoping they will last a bit longer. I think they look pretty good. Definitely more modern looking. I did my numberplate, interior and boot light at the same time. EDIT FOR REF - The front sidelights x2, rear Numberplate x2 and boot light x 1 are all the same type - w5w 501. The interior light requires 2 x 30mm festoon type bulbs. White LED is the way to go for the modern look, they are white with a tiny hint of blue. You can get them all cheap on ebay but they may not last too long. Not so bad with the easy to change bulbs but a pain with the sidelight bulbs. I would recommend Autobulbs direct for good quality items and if you PM a mod they will give you a discount code. Here you go; Sidelight - 2x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-led-extreme-power-1.5w-360-degree-white-blue-red-amber.html Numberplate and boot - 3x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/501-LED-Single-Assorted-colours.html Interior - 2x http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/269-4-led-festoon-bulbs-30mm.html Sorry about the crap phone pics. FUG
Are there any led bulbs with built in resistors? Or anyone got a link other then the ghastly gold ones on eBay. All the online shops seem to stock a canbus friendly over ride cable instead? Presumably this just gets rid of a cars error message instead of fixing the problem of blowing bulbs too soon

Still pretty cheap but good reviews. Not the prettiest of bulbs but guess u don't see them that often when they are off

Nice one, have purchased a pair of these will see how they hold up if not will get some from Autobulbs direct along with some other bits to hopefully get the free delivery! Delivery seems such a rip off when just getting a pair of sidelights!
cs2000
Do you actually need those CANBUS bulbs for sidelights? Normally (as in, in my past experience) you only need those with indicators to fix the rapid flashing, bit not for sidelights.
Dblock
Not really. But the ones I like the one with lots of LEDs only come with the resistors.

I got a pretty cheap set of led bulbs off eBay without resistors, as led type bulbs use less power to operate my car thought the bulbs had blown and so ceased to work if you got the resistors built in then you can't go wrong IMO
