sinbad
I've booked my car into Lythgoe's as i know some people on here have been v.happy with their service. I've asked to have a major service done on the Z and was quoted £220, is this right? it sounds abit cheap to me. Also ive asked them to look at: Clicking rear axle Handbrake needs adjustment sqeeky drivers seat grinding on left nearside brake (still at least 1/3 life left in pads) My car is imported and obviously out of warrenty. What would i expect to pay over the service cost for the above issues. Is their anything else i need to be aware of when i take my car, this will be the first time i have used nissan's services and im pretty apprehensive. sinbad
Bugger. Does the axle clicking do any long term damage? I can live with the clicking as its only when im setting off but thought id get it looked at.

Generally parts are replaced which is where the expense is.... Greasing has fixed some but not all... As for your question, no, not that I'm aware of!!! AndyC
I've been happy with Lythgoes mate, they're the dealer I use all the time. The first thing I'd say though is why on earth are you taking it to a dealer if you've no warranty? Far better off going to an independent. If you still want a Nissan name, try PMing Dan on this forum - he's a Nissan independent specialist (used to be a dealer), think he's Blackburn way. I'd say if an axle is clicking and it isn't sorted it will detoriate and cause premature wear, although I could be wrong. £220 sounds about right for the P2, Lythgoes do have decent prices.
