km002916
Trying to connect an OBD 2 diagnostics into my JDM 350Z but it doesnt seem to connect, my friend (who has the OBD 2 thing) has loads of different software/programs but doesn't know which one works on JDM 350Zs, can anyone advise? We have seen some stuff on net saying it needs to be JOBD but can't find an answer.

doctor austin
If you can master this you'll be a star........not aware anyone has come up with a cost effective way of reading the codes using a scanner...BUT of course there is always the other option which comes free with the car.....and its easy to do once you have done it... I use a stop watch. There is plenty of info here how to read the codes .....use the search function? It does work. and remember its free
spursmaddave
I have found the car method really easy when I needed it. I use my iPhone as a stopwatch and then record the flashing lights to work out the code easier
doctor austin
Now ...recording the flashing lights sound like a real good idea...that way you can replay it at leasure to get the code(s)..I like that idea. As you say its not hard to do....ITS FREE TOO
MidnightRacer
anyone get any updates on this? Currently trying to do the same! Cheers Kev
Chris`I
You need a scanner that supports JODB rather than just OBDII or EOBD
MidnightRacer
yeah thats what I'm getting from what I've read. Still not 100% sure if Blatz works on JOBD. Any suggestions you might have?
