yankeesiter
I just got a new set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas fitted to my standard wheels yesterday. When I got home, I realised they'd balanced the wheels with the rim clip on weights instead of the rim tape ones. Will there be a problem with this? I once had a Mondeo that used to torque the weights on the rim until the dealer rectified it by gluing them in place. Also is there a possibility that they could sling off at speeds in excess of 120 mph? I'll be on German autobahns this summer. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. HaydnH
Personally I think they're ugly as hell, I'd also be concerned about them leaving marks on the rim of the alloys - for those reasons alone I'd go back and get them changed. I can't believe anyone fitting tyres would use clip ons on something like a Z.
