WoREoD
Having spent five hours driving in light to moderate rain today, it reminded of one thing I find peculiar about the wiper controls. The rotation of the switch for the intermittent interval seems to be the wrong way round. I thought I'd get used to it but after fourteen months I still want it to be the other way round and always do it wrong when switching back from wiper speed 1 to intermittent. Is it just me? GrahamB
Do you mean twisting the twisty thing or moving the stalk (sorry for the techno babble). I always seem to twist the twisty thing the wrong way but that's probably coz my old Alfa worked the other way. I do find that the stages on the intermittent are odd. You have almost constant to one a month and not very much in between.
neo
took me a while to remember which way to twist the stalk too
janoof1
that is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freaky!!!!! on the way home from work today i was realising the same thing!!!! it was just spitting with rain and i wanted the intermittant setting and i was convinced it was broken as it wouldn't move , even on the "quickest" setting , i then realised that the dial was back to front aswell - another nissan oversight eh!!! Gus
This ain't in the manual, but was pointed out about 2 years ago on the old site ( definitely worth mentioning again given the number of new users ), then if you twist it and stop between the clicks, then you get an in-between time delay. ie if one position is every 2 secs, and the next is every 4 secs, then if you leave it half way between it does every 3 secs. I didn't believe it either the first time someone mentioned it ( UKLooney, I seem to recall for those with long memories - Val ? ) - but it does seem to work Gus
jim
Works OK on mine. The only thing I have to remember is that the lights are on the right and the wipers on the left (its a JDM) - our other car is the other way round.
mattuk77
I am struggling to get used to pushing it up for a single sweep and progressively down for intermit/slow/fast. On all my previous cars it's been the other way round!! lol. There is an answer I've found though - RAINEX - it's brilliant

M13KYF
Rain-x, good stuff. Used to use it. You could drive along on the motorway in heavy rain and not need to use the wipers at all. http://www.motormania.co.uk/product_det ... in-X&Code=
Gus
A lot easier to use the PIAA silicon wipers - gives the same effect, without the effort Gus
