scubapics
Does anyone know if the Bridgestone RE050A run flats? I've had a look at my RE050A tyres and there's nothing on the side walls to indicate that they are run flats. Bridgestone's website isn't particularly helpful. It gave me the impression that it should say RFL somewhere. Jim
Cragus
I have the same tyres and don't believe they are.
ATTAK Z
No definitely not run flat
scubapics
Thanks chaps! I'll be keeping the space saver in the boot then and now feel a whole lot better knowing if I get a nail in the center section / slow puncture that I can get a repair down without having to buy a whole new tyre. Ekona
They do make an 050A run flat though, so just be aware when you order them
CMR
There are run flat versions of the RE050a

Chris`I
They do make an 050A run flat though, so just be aware when you order them +1 - seen them on Camskill. Dont know how you tell if you have them by looking at the tyre though, I would guess they have a slightly different maker/name on them somewhere. Ekona
I would imagine they have either the word runflat on them, or RF, or similar.
Zugara
What's that for? means it not a run flat.
un1eash
Yes they do make a RE050A RFT, it has RFT on the side and they cost twice as much as the standard RE050. My Z4 only had 225/45 17" and they were still £150 each. You should avoid them like the plague, the RFT's are OEM fit for the Z4 and ruin the car. The side walls are just to hard, they tramline and skip all over the road and dont give you much confidence in the car. Many Z4 owners switch to cheaper non RFT's like the 452's.
