colesy1976
Hi all. I've had a problem with my front brakes...A while ago (3 months) I changed my pads - which was a nightmare at first because it is a JDM and just finding a shop that sells them... - Anyways, the original pads had the anti-squeel metal plates on the back of them (where the piston pushes against) but they didn't fit my new pads so had to throw them. Can anyone tell me where I can get some replacement anti-squeel plates from? Cheers, Colesy
Removed
I haven't got them on my brembo sport pads replacements either. if your mechanic used copper grease properly, they shouldn't squeak mate. Also, might be small stones trapped between the pads and the disks? is the squeak continuous or not? If so you might want to try reversing quite fast (safe place!!!) then slam on the brakes to see if they dislodge
colesy1976
Aha! You mentioned copper grease! I did the brake pads myself and forgot the copper grease! Where should I apply this?
ir_fuel
Between the pads and the disks I m not responsible for the consequences dough :headhurt:
Removed
the above is a JOKE! don't do that. it goes on the surface that the caliper pistons will touch, and on the sides (but not the pad sides, the metal plate sides) here you go, where i painted it red copper grease should be applied
