Dblock
Try your local insurance broker too, its might be just as cheap and you will have someone to chase up stuff it need be plus its supporting local businesses. Im with admiral too though

wide
sky or chris knott they were both almost half the price of admiral for me!
glrnet
Admiral, but for me it worked going via the comparethemoneymerekatsupermarketgo pages. I went to Admiral direct as well, the best quote by far (over £150.00 cheaper) moneysupermarket.com
elfman
+5 i tend to go between admiral bell and elephant to get my insurance down, all the same company so can cut each other quite easily
redcupra
I was with Privledge and then switched to Admiral as they were cheaper. Dont think you can go too far wrong with either of those

BladesGrant
Its also worth considering if you are going to mod your car and find out if the cheapest qoute you receive will also insure cars that have been modded.
hatterjon
Admiral cheapest for me, but never had to claim, so not sure if the value for money is there.
sickboy123
Hey all, Here is an update to my enquiries, and some responses that suprised me. I was requesting fully comp insurance, my details ( Licence since 1998, 6 yrs nc, drive company vehicle aswell, no points/penalties, live in decent area.) Sky insurance - " we are not insuring cars in Lancashire due to high number of claims recently" Chris Knott insurance - "cannot insure you until your 30 (I am in 2 months lol) and have owned the car for one year, come back next year for a decent offer". Moneysupermarket checked out usual well known places and gave results varying from £1200 and greater. My current insurer Direct Line gave the best offer of £1173.
