live2themaxuk
Ive gad a radar detectr for a while now, and words well, but, as they all do, they false alarm like a bitch. . . . I would get a Road Angel or the such which has fixed location things, but it doesnt help you with offices with Radar guns , or empty cameras. . . . I wondered about this, about the false alarms, and why no one has made a detector that can 'learn' false alarms, that you teach, what frequency, and what co-ordinate the false alarm was at so next time you drive my, it dont alert ya. Well, after posting on radar-detectors.net, turns out someone has. Its immense. . . . Its got all kinds of features, and one that has a 'safe list' that remembers, radar strength, direction, frequency and co-ordinates, no next time you drive past the petrol station ti dont go off. Its alos got fixed locations, a 'spectrum analyser' and some oother weird feautres i dont understand only problem. . . . its 1400euros!!!! http://www.stinger.nl/index.php?sec=index〈=en cool though. . .. .and still tempted, but man thats expensive, could have a couple of Valentine ones for that price. Its an awesome pience of kit though. . . Jamie
Mathys
It's a really good detector indeed. However, not everyone likes the safe list. Also there is still no laser detector add-on which was promised years ago. However, it's still fully undetectable for any radar detector-detector that the police uses. In Holland you're only allowed to use this detector with the GPS based warning. The real radar detector software is not allowed to be installed and used. Therefor all Dutch detectors only warn for GPS based speed traps. The only thing you have to do is download the UK software from the internet to have full detector service If the police would ever stop you to see if this is installed, with 1 push of the button you remove the software/erase the memory. So no tracks that you were using it illegally For +- 450 euro you can get the Beltronics 975 whiich has about the same detection range, but requires some modifications to make it undetectable for the police.... live2themaxuk
The laser thing is a problem, but theres a parking sensor called a 'Laser Park Pro', and its a great little device for parking, i've also heard it uses the same laser frequency as the guns so it interferes with their readings, it even beeps and tells you when 'interfereance' is taking place. . . . . Mathys
The Laser Park Pro does sound interesting, too bad I have the oem system at the rear. Otherwise I would buy it straight away without thinking...
