chrisgunton Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 I'm fitting my AVH P4200DVD this weekend and want to enable DVD and video playback while driving (so the gf can stick music videos on etc). Which wire should I connect the parking brake wire to to fool it into thinking I'm parked? It needs a constant 12v source I think. Is the yellow battery lead fine? sparky370z Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 +2 on the ground. i used a ring crimp then took one of the bolts of round the gear lever and made a perfect ground there. works spot on. also IIRC, without the parking brake grounded/not connected it means that u cant get into some of the menu options either. so u have to do it properly. Husky Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 i wouldnt do it but i can understand why a passenger might want it. i get car sick with anything like that so it would be a no go for me anyway as the driver i can just switch off to it so it wouldnt bother me.
