andyvvc
My front EBC drilled/grooved discs after an estimated 45k miles. Originally fitted i mid 2008 iirc. They have really lasted well and only recently started to vibrate due to wear. Because the dics were so fooked i have changed the front pads too to be on the safe side (im not sure how badly glazed/pitted the current pads might be). If anyone is thinking of aftermarket discs, i can recommend the EBC ones. Excellent value and very good looking too (well, when they are new of course) Cheers to CS for sorting out replacement discs at very short notice aswell, top service as always
BladesGrant
I have just ordered some EBC Ultimax discs and yellow stuff pads (non Brembo) from CS. If the discs are anything compared to those of yours I will be very happy indeed. That is some mileage you got out of them!!
GT4 Zed
It looks worse than it actually is When i swap to my BBK 30K miles ago my OEM Brembo which had just done about 30K looked similar. the corrosion is superficial and can be skimmed off very lightly to refresh the disc when changing to new ........pads if there is still "meat" left on the disc . The only noticeable thing is all the drill holes and some slots are fiiled with pad material which suggest you may be using very soft pads for your driving style and something more harder with hgh friction properties will keep them clean and work better eg if you were using green stuff then you need to upgrade to red of if red then to yellow stuff
scubapics
Any chance of a photo of them the other way around? I'd like to know if the center has rusted or are they treated so that they do not rust as per the OEM disks. Ta, Jim
andyvvc
Here ya go. Bear in mind that i run Eibach spacers so they might/might not help keep the surface of the outer-disc clean.
scubapics
Thanks. Just as I thought - rusty :-( Anyone have any thoughts of a treatment to stop the rust on the outer edges of the column that the wheel joins. The OEM discs have some form of grey coating to prevent rust. Jim
narcotix
I had my brake discs and pads recently replaced thanks to CS .. I also went for the EBC Ultimax and Yellow Stuff pads setup and am very happy with them! I had to remind myself not to apply the brakes so hard at first as they were much better than stock ones .. LoL

chrisgunton
DO you have a source or part numbers for these? Nissan have quoted me £700+ for front discs during a free health check. I'd rather get cheaper parts and do it myself!
