Ricey
Well the Scorpion is now on and sounds great but I'm already taking a dislike to the look.........not sure why as I've seen them on ther cars but I not even liking it in comparison to stock. One of the pipes is a bit dented too which is also putting me off even more. Is there any way that another tip of a different style could literally be slotted over the existing one? Suppose the alternative is to try and get the damaged tip repaired and see if that refloats my boat but every body shop I speak too seems to be totally confused by the concept of unbending stainless steel! (Zmanalex has already took a peek and told me its do-able a fairly simply job)
Neilp
plenty have people have changed the tips, the only problem is that it will void the warranty
Ricey
plenty have people have changed the tips, the only problem is that it will void the warranty Thats no probs its a 2nd hander anyways - if I remember the warranty only works for the 1st owner on most zorsts. Any linkys or idea's where to start in respect of changing tips? I'm not being lazy I've searched around but just seem to get spammed by a million sites with ' max power styleee' bolt on tips. Neilp
Theres a local place up here that does it. If you search for custom exhaust specialists in your area and give them a call. It can be quite an expensive change. Jay got his done up here so if you pm he may be able to give you and idea of the price he paid
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Im not keen on the tips of my Scorpion either, the stock ones look better imo Let me know how you get on as I might re-tip mine too
Ian
Any decent custom exhaust place will be able to do it
MattG
These guys aren't far from you: http://www.alunox.co.uk/index.htm I don't have any personal experience with them though. There's also JP Exhausts in Macclesfield who have a very good reputation. My car will be going in to them in a couple of weeks so they can use it as a template for their new cat back system, but they are a bit further away from you. Ricey
cut off old tips weld on new tips job done That was my thinking but I couldnt find anywhere on tinterweb that sells replacement tips. I'll have a scout around some local zorst specialists. Cheers all
rtbiscuit
the exhaust place will have them. i use hayward and scott in essex, build great systems, have everything on site. needs to be a specialist as if its a stainless system it will need TiG welding. most places only have MiG and is not suitable for stainless application. Ricey
140 squid quote from the garage in Wrexham suggested above. Thats any bespoke tip you want manufactured, old one removed and new one fitted. I think it might have to wait a few months!
cerealuk
sorry to bring back an old thread... am i right in thinking then that the tips of the Scorpion can be replaced with the OEM tips off an OEM backbox ?

DoogyRev
sorry to bring back an old thread... am i right in thinking then that the tips of the Scorpion can be replaced with the OEM tips off an OEM backbox ? Yes, but only with some fabrication from a decent Zorst place, from memory I think the bore of the Scorpion to the tips is larger than the OEM..... but not by much
