M13KYF
wasn't a big fan of Legard anyway. Think this is a great move
Beavis
wasn't a big fan of Legard anyway. Neither were a lot of the F1 forums especially PlanetF1 HD Broadcasts are not far away either http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/88865
Sam Mcgoo
It sounds like a good move and I hope it is. However, I've always liked the banter and entertainment factor of using one journalist/F1 fan commenting and one ex-driver/someone that actually knows what their talking about. Only time will tell I suppose.
geoff-r
Can't wait to see the new developments on the cars. Backing McLaren to do well this season.
Ekona
Legard is an absolute c*ck, thank god he's gone. Not sure I really want Mr Redbull next to to Brundle in the box, but he'll be infinitely better than Legard.
Ebized
I hope Brundle will still do the grid walk-about as he does command the respect of most of those matter at all levels in F1 and gets some great tit-bits of info. Not sure Coulthard has that same knack.
Ekona
They can't stop him doing that, that's usually the best part of race day!
JetSet
Excellent , I wonder who they'll get to do Coulthard's old job, Mansell, Hill and Herbert must be in the frame, maybe even Alan Jones but please, not Blundell ! Pete
Ekona
Coulthard will still do the rest of the stuff I reckon, he'll just leave 10 mins before the start of the race to get to the commentary box.
Paulzx
Coulthard is doing what he did before with Jake Humphries and Eddie Jordan as well as race commentary. I feel a bit sorry for Legard but he wasn't particularly inspiring as a commentator. Since Brundle arrived the trend is obviously now towards ex drivers and people who have worked first hand in the sport rather than just peole who can talk about it. Probably most likely as Brundell does the same.
CaptainSensible
Can't wait for next season. Glad Legard has gone as he didn't really add a lot ot proceedings. I do find Coulthard a bit wooden though, and he does have a habit of stating the obvious. Hopefully he will relax into the role as it will give him a lot more air time. Going to both Silverstone and Spa this season. Never been to a GP before so cannot wait. Thought I should get a couple of races in while they're still using V8s! SunsetZed
Coulthard's ok but I was hoping they'd promote Davidson from doing the practice on the red button, think he's really good on the mic.

In all seriousness, doing away with the chrome/silver?!
Daryl
This year will certainly be entertaining with 2 Lotus teams, both powered by Renault! What a mess that is turning into! Im really looking forward to the new season, even the testing, just seeing and hearing the cars again!

Not unless both Lewis and Jenson have been lying on Twitter, they've both confirmed a while ago that McLaren would still be chrome and silver and that the red/black seen recently is only the test colours colours for the car. Not impossible that McLaren have changed their minds, though. This year will certainly be entertaining with 2 Lotus teams, both powered by Renault! What a mess that is turning into! I maintain that there's one Lotus team with a Renault engine, and the other team is a Renault sponsored by Proton.

Not impossible that McLaren have changed their minds, though. Would be very surprised if this was the case also. I have read nothing to suggest that there is to be a colour change :shrug:But you never know i suppose we will just have to wait and see. Mclaren have done cars before in other colours though never raced like the one's below used in testing.
Beavis
But then again there might be something in it. AUTOSPORT understands that the launch is not simply a colour-scheme unveiling - but will be the actual first public appearance of the new car. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/88834
