spursmaddave
I am due a 10 years or 90,000 miles P2 service (plus brake fluid change and airbag system inspection as extra items at additional cost) and booked in @ Abbey early next month. Already spoken to Mark and as I had Brake lines and new Brake fluid less than 6 months ago this should not need doing. I have always just taken a car to a garage and let them get on with it, but I am seeing some good deals on the Forum from the likes of Opie Oils and wondering if I could save a few £ getting my own consumables... I know there are loads of threads on this and everyone has their own preferences but please let me know what I should go for and why please as I am a complete noob

ace
you have probably had new plugs fitted on your P3 at 60,000 miles so you need to check if you need them now, Abbey will no doubt put top quality oil in the car so I would just leave them to it. I'm booking my P3 with them this month they informed me I don't need plugs as the car has not reached 5 years or 60,
spursmaddave
I know Abbey only top quality stuff as I have been there a fair bit and had my last service done there... To be honest I just wanted to look like I knew a little bit more about things than I do, but I guess I am just deluding myself Not sure about spark plugs Alex, hopefully they were changed at the 60k mark so should ok for a while yet... maybe I will treat the old girl at 100k

spursmaddave
Hope there are enough funds left after buying the 'rock' Gold + Black Sapphire + Diamonds May have to do a D.I.Y. service Ricey, I think buying 'The Rock' may have actually been cheaper... and no disrespect but taking D.I.Y. advice from you would be like asking the McCann's for advice on babysitting
