chrisgunton
As soon as I get my monies together I'm planning on pulling out my slightly dogdy BOSE system (speaker cutting out and CD skipping) and satnav in favour of: Head Unit: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/pioneer/ ... ER=Froogle With this and this. Have I got all the right bits? The most important big about the HU is to connect an iPod (with full control of it) and to play movies via SD card or DVD. Then when funds allow - a Nurrish system to replace the satnav in the cubby. How's that sound?

RisingPower
Here's one: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer ... 00dvd.html Caraudiocentre have it cheaper but from what I've heard they don't exactly have the best rep.
BulletMagnet
Check local caraudio shops or even Halfrauds and see if they have ex-display models. I got my Pioneer AVIC F900BT for £350 at Halfrauds, ex display but hardly a mark on it, RRP was £899. The ICT facsia is not the right one for a double DIN. You only need the frame for the double, the pocket and single din stuff will be surplus to requirement.

chrisgunton
This one? Wouldn't that mean cutting the middle bit out?

spursmaddave
This one? Wouldn't that mean cutting the middle bit out? Just use a sharp craft knife and a metal ruler.... of use the force
chrisgunton
I was thinking for a few quid extra I'd rather have some surplus bits and a perfect fit than cut it - or are the edges well hidden by the HU? Just found the HU really cheap somewhere

Just found the HU really cheap somewhere The edges apart from the bottom are well hid by the HU. For the bottom my installer put a bit of felt inbetween, have to put it back every time I take out the console surrounding the gearknob. BulletMagnet
I had the one with the surplus bits first thinking the same and ended up getting the other one where you have to make two small cuts to remove the middle bar. The finish looks nicer I think.
chrisgunton
Was just about to place my order but now I'm confused about looms... I need this one: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/steering ... 9-674.html But I can't find the link to the ICT 29-00 one on Sextons website? Have they stopped doing it? is there another source? RisingPower
That's because it's not 29-00*. It's 29-your pioneer code here. I forget what the code is for pioneer though.
chrisgunton
As far as I know it's 29-007: http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ict/p~29-007.html Would this work? http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ict/p~29-020.html?cat=
RisingPower
I guess so: http://www.370z-uk.net/forum/viewtopic. ... 07#p434073 But if you have any doubts, it's best to ring sextons, they're pretty helpful
chrisgunton
Sorted. Ordered the HU, and I'll get the looms and bits early next month when I get paid. No doubt I'll be asking here for help with the wiring!

Keep meaning to order a 020 rev 1.8 which retains all the controls Hope that helps, if you need anymore info PM me or email incartec direct they are really helpful
BulletMagnet
Could also order ICT items directly from ICT, they are also very helpful and will always send the newest version of their stuff out
