drivebyabuser
When I was on a merc. forum there was a couple of guys who knew what exact spec you had by the vin number. Does anyone know if this is possible with the zed?
Stu350z
I'm no expert but sumone on the forum mite know bout the vin numbers! Is ur Zed a UK or a JDM? All UK's have Brembo's, if u got cruise control, heated leather etc, it's a GT if not it's base! Not sure bout JDM's but sumone will! rtbiscuit
there is only 2 specs for the zed, GT and non GT if it s a UK car, JDM is another kettle of fish; but the information is on the forum if you search,
martinmac
This is a guide to JDM models but there are lots of options over there which complicate things. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=13288
drivebyabuser
Mine is UK non gt. I assumed there was some dealer fit and special order extras that the vin would tell you. I'm Just curious really. What started it off was that my rear speakers don't work (non bose) i just wanted to know if they were fitted before I took the car apart! martinmac
UK non GT is standard unless a previous owner has alered anything. There should be something in the guides section to help you out with the speakers.

JetSet
There are also different specs for models MY03 ? 2003-March 2006, I've seen some imported models on 52 plates and there are almost certainly a number of 06 reg'd MY03's about and possibly a few 56's. GT4 versions are MY03's. Quite likely that some MY03's have been kitted out to look like later versions. MY06 April 2006, A very small number of 55 reg'd models knocking about. MY07 ? 2007 onwards, I've seen a 59 reg'd Zed, someone here reported seeing a 10 model. JDM's have several specs from the looks of it, not sure about Republic of Ireland imports. un1eash
The 350Z didnt have a massive options list, its not like BMW and Merc where you have to pay extra even for cup holders.
ATTAK Z
Why do people call the 'VIN' the 'VIN number' ? 'VIN' is a TLA for 'Vehicle Identification Number' ............. so calling it the 'VIN number' is the same as calling it the 'Vehicle Identification Number number' ....... which is crazy if you want to add to simply 'VIN', then by all means call it the 'VIN plate' over

ATTAK Z
One of the reasons that attracted me to the Zed in the first place was that it was a complete car off the shelf with no need to go through the extras list spending more money
drivebyabuser
Thanks for the info, I knew there wasn't many options for the ZED but i was curious. Sorry about the VIN thing; schoolboy error.
