HassanZ
Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great new years day! I am currently an owner of a 2003/53 E46 BMW 330ci M sport Facelift. I am considering purchasing/swapping it for a Nissan 350z GT. I thought this would be the best place to join for me to gain more knowledge and a greater insight on these cars. All cars have specific things to look out for and I'm guessing the 350z is no exception. I would really appreciate some advice on what to look out for (i.e. common faults/optional extras/signs of abuse etc) and what sort of prices I'll be looking at. Thanks in advance for your invaluable advice and I hope I can be a 350z owner myself in the nearer future!

HEADPHONES
Welcome I had a look at E46 330 M Sport in Estoril blue before getting the zed. Beautiful car, but the dealer ignored me and when I finally mentioned he'd seen to two others who came after me he said "sorry, we're too busy to arrange test drives today but if you leave your BUISINESS CARD we'll get back to you" arrogant so and so. Put me right off, which is a shame, coz 5yrs on I still love the look of them with the front and rear spoilers. Post up some pics and let me reminisce HEADPHONES

HassanZ
Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! You all seem very helpful and polite on here. I've been looking at plenty of 350z's but I don't know how the optional extras and trim levels work, can anybody point me in the right direction or provide me with some information? I do apologise for the late reply, I've been really busy at work! I really appreciate your help guys, you will see me on here very often once I find the perfect 350! If anyone is interested in a 330ci + cash for their 350z, please message me! Thanks guys, Hassan

I'm a 23 year old who likes to wear sporty clothes more than jeans. When I always walked into BMW Sytner, they seem to look down on you as if I'm wasting their time! It did annoy me a lot! By the way...the Estoril blue and Leguna Seca Blue were my favourite colours! Unfortunately, I couldn't get hold of one as they were so rare! I seen mine (Titanium Silver with Black leather) and it ticked all my boxes so I bought it. I'm trying to upload some pics for you but an error message keeps showing...any ideas? Thanks, Hassan

bronzee
Try another dealership perhaps. If they're judging you by what you are wearing they're not very clued up salesmen.
HassanZ
Hi everybody! I sold my BMW and bought myself a 350z GT the next day! These are the specs: - December 2004/54 plate - Gunmetal Grey - 11 months tax and MOT remaining - Orange leather interior - Usual GT refinements (missing rear sensors and sat nav) - 43k with FSH (last 2 were independent, rest were Nissan - 6 stamps in total) - Demo car until 2005 with 1500 miles on the clock, then bought by a 60 year old engineer whos kept it until I took it off him - RAYS alloys and Brembo brakes - All previous MOT certificates and road tax disks/reminders - Pile of receipts - Threw in a Toyosport performance exhaust system which is brand new in a box (can anyone tell me if they're worth fitting on?) - Threw in a set of rear Blueprint brake pads - Brand new rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres and fronts are nearly new which are the same tyres - Serviced 1,000 miles ago at an independent garage - According to the service history, the P3 service was carried out by Nissan about 15k miles ago Bad points: - The front bumper has millions of stone chips on it which stick out like a sore thumb! - There is a door dent on the passenger door - A couple of minor stone dents/chips on the roof - Very minor scuff on the rear bumper - All four wheels in need of refurbishment - A couple of bird dropping blemishes on the bodywork The car cost me £9050. Is that a fair price?
martinmac
- The front bumper has millions of stone chips on it which stick out like a sore thumb! Thats one common fault, the paint is anemic - There is a door dent on the passenger door. It will probably pull out very cheaply. - A couple of minor stone dents/chips on the roof. As above. - Very minor scuff on the rear bumper. A couple of hundred should fix all three. - All four wheels in need of refurbishment. Usually about £45 each. - A couple of bird dropping blemishes on the bodywork. I have a shotgun for sale. Check the detailng section.
