bakseedaa
The car is coming up to 3000 miles and i want to change the oil, what oil would you advise me to put in? Would you change the filter aswell, and also woulod you take it to the stealers or to a regular garage that i know do do a good job.
ace
There's no point changing the oil if you don't change the filter so do both, the dealer will charge you more than your garage so just for an oil change I would use the garage and give him your own oil that you want in it. As for oils I would use a fully synthetic oil I'm sure someone on here will recommend a brand.

350 Russ
i personally use castrol magnatec 5w-30. its not very expensive either if you use opie oils who are a trader one here
Dblock
Fuchs millers or gulf is pretty good. I have heard magnetec is rubbish but I've never used it.
bakseedaa
Just had a look on the Opie site, what is the dirrerance with sat 5w 50 and 10w 40 and so on, and which would you say is the best for the 370?

Not sure what it takes. The 350z is 5-30 but the 370z could be different
ray350gt4
i use mobil 1 in my 350 as that is what middlehurst motorsport used when it was serviced and ive read it is also suitable for 370z

Ive heard that royal purple can go all goey and ball like because of the colouring they use. That was diff oil though

rtbiscuit
the first lot came from the Z store, but i don't think they still trade, and if the chillis have it then that would be one of my first port of call. i do have a mate who ships it in from the states for me and it costs a lot less than it normally does, but then thats all down to who you know; not what you know
