Joss
Hi All, Can anyone recommend a cheap insurance company for a 370z? I have tried: Aviva Direct Line GoCompare CompareTheMarket Sky Insurance The cheapest so far is £809 with Admiral. Any help would be great! Ricey
Admiral and stick your missus/mum/gran/auntie/female neighbour/woman who serves you in Asda on the policy.
threefiftyz
admiral multi-car can work out even cheaper
John-Fram
Just arranged mine to start in the new year. Tried the Meerkats and then followed up with Admiral and Elephant as they were cheaper. The sites look the same to me but eventually went with Elephant as somehow able to get a better quote with an increased voluntary excess. Judging by your quote you are either younger (age has some benefits), use it a lot or have a worse history - For a total excess of £600 & 9000 miles I have settled for £281 inc a cc fee of £6 which includes the Mrs, no claims protection, courtesy car etc and cover for 90 days abroad etc. Some people like a lower excess but I don't expect to claim so might as well benefit from a significant premium reduction. I can't use a specialist yet as haven't had a performance car for a year but Elephant don't mind. Sorry if this sounds smug - probably am because I pay almost as much for a 90bhp Picasso and I expected this to be an expensive car.

Ricey
Have you tried sticking 'A female who can drive' on the policy? Usually good for a couple of hundred quid.
Joss
Yea, I tried that but it put the policy up by about £100.
Ricey
It wasn't your 17 year old sister was it?????? Thats very unusual provided the lady in question has a clean record............my insurance would be through the roof (I'm 28 and missus is 28) without her on there. Stick you mum on and she can have a bizz round in the Zed!!
Joss
Fuuny you should say that because I also tried my mum ...... it still went up £80!!!!!
Ricey
Admiral multicar - £865.30 for the Lancer and Zed for me and the missus. Me - clean history - 4 years no claims Missus - clean history - 5 years no claims 28 years old (both) living in a city £250 excess was £976 and £500 excess £865.30 HOWEVER you are indeed correct. Deleted the missus and her 5 years no claims (so Zed had 0 no claims applied to it) and it only went up to £926.
