sparky370z
the problem is, i am supposed to be travelling up North to Middlesbrough from south London on Thursday. i was hoping to take the Zed. i was thinking with the current conditions would it be safe to drive the Zed..... i have access to a caddy van/car crew cab that i could drive but i just love driving the zed. LOL i need two new tyres on the back which i will get done before we go. got falkens so was hopefully gonna get the same to replace. do i..... wait til after Christmas and get the tyres done then. and drive the van (play safe, better fuel eco) get the tyres done and drive the Zed. (better option, more fun, Ipad connection ect.) your opinions please!

kevlo
take the van, not worth the risk at all. the fun will be greatly reduced having to nanny it everywhere. mine has been tucked away for 5 weeks now
rtbiscuit
i did suffolk to york last winter in the snow, was fine, most of the main roads were clear, was one of the best drives up there i had.

ewan221
Van - its the other idiots on the roads you have to worry about as well
Ricey
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44148 This is what happens on nice 'clear' roads........mate hold your load, go in the van, wait until Feb - then thrash the back out of it. You won't be able to drive in anyway enthusiastically anyway.
Chris`I
Go in the van, theres a lot of idiots out there! I dont have a choice, I have to take the Zed to work in Slough tomorrow. JetSet
According to the Countryfile weather forecast for the week, Thursday will be a nightmare, good chance of blizzards up in the North East . Could be difficult to get there in any type of vehicle Pete
djrm
If you have a choice... NEVER drive the Z in this weather... I had to drive to a Club last night to DJ and it was the worst hour in the car I have ever had... Unfortunately I had no choice though.. TAKE THE VAN!
