Head Unit - Stereo

Hi Guys (and girls)!

 

I want to replace my standard head unit, will any double unit fit and can anyone reccomend any good ones?? And how much are you looking at for one with sat nav built in?

I would recommend a Pioneer but only because I have one.

 

Bank on at least £600 for a decent one with SatNav and then you need all the adapters and facia etc...

 

Worth it though

Pretty much any will fit but do you have steering controls?

 

Any Pioneer / Alpine / Kenwood should be ok, have a look in the I.C.E. section and you will get some ideas

yes, most DD unit will fit the hole. just need a fascia adapter. be prepared the whole install with a new HU (600-800) and other essential bits (70) will be around 700 quid mark.

yes i was VERY VERY cold at the time, i was well chuffed to get it all on and working. i waited until the next day to clean and hoover her out properly.

Ebay is your friend, you can get a decent second hand unit for £300-£400, stick to the more popular brands and you cant go wrong in terms of usability and quality but as with everything you pay for what you get

 

Another option is to go for a Nurrish Sat Nav and then you will give yourself more choice with the Double Din HU
