Iram
Hi everyone....hope someone can advise me on this??? I recently had an electric gate scratch my rear left alloy...problem is its a 370z black edition ...and it is quite difficult getting a true paint match. Can anyone recommend a really good alloy wheel repair specialist around London, Birmingham or Manchester areas....I really hope I can sort this out only had the car for a month! :-( THANKS....Iram
Chris`I
Ouch sorry to hear that buddy I dont know anywhere specific, but WLMG Nissan in Slough are a good bunch, if you speak to G or Abid there they might know someone. It will be very hard to match as from what I understand its built up of multiple layers and shades of paint to give the smoked/chromed effect. Iram
Thanks Chris ...Iv already spoken to G he said it could be difficult as its a limited edition...I'm waiting for him to get back to me.
Chris`I
If I'm honest I think you will struggle to match it. How bad is it? Got any pics? Other usual suspects are people like Lepsons ( http://www.spitandpolish.co.uk/ ). Both are very reputable, likely to be able to do something, but will take time and probably charge a fair amount for it. They are very very good though. clarkie34
You mentioned Manchester area.I have used a guy loads of times and he matched my Volk when nobody else would touch it,he is based in Bolton but does travel so will probably go to Manchester. Assessment Services 07793 736811 ask for Martin,BMW use him to tart up used cars before they are sold.Tell him Wayne sent you if you use him. Isn't there anyone that can just patch it with a good product..Some guy in America used his wife's nail polish I don't want to resort to that yet...anyone any more ideas ...please keep them rolling....Some of you may think just leave it as its not worth it but Its going to bug me every time I get in the car. Chris`I
Its tough to do because it is a multistage paint. A place like S&P will want the finish to be perfect, so will want to strip the wheel and start again, hence why I said they'd be expensive and take ages (I should have been more specific). Any SMART repair place may take it on, but wont get a perfect colour match or repair, but may get it close enough. You can always try Wicked Wheels. I think they are a franchise so only as good as the one you visit. If you were near Basingstoke, I'd recommend My Alloys, they are very good, and used to run a Chips Away franchise, so know how to do SMART repair, so may have been able to do something, dont know if they would tackle it though. bakseedaa
Hiya Iram i dont have any photos of it before i was that pi**ed off with it i didnt even want to look at it (never mind photo it). As for after i myself cant tell which part of the wheel was repaired which is always a good sign. The actuall damage was about 5inch long along the top of the rim something similar to Clarkies and had a little of the white alloy coming through. When i took the wheel in they told me to leave it a few days so that he could get a match and i think it was ready 48 hours later it cost £
