speedy
Hi guys.....Going to be doing a few things to the Z next Monday/tuesday. One of my sensors has been playing up, i hope its only a lose connection. I have no idea how to get to these, does anyone have a guide (looked through the section and couldnt find one) on how to remove/access these? rtbiscuit
i think its a rear bumper off jobbie. so you'll need to take out the rear lights, and also undo from with in the wheel arch lining. might be able ot part remove the bumper, and do the work without fully removing it. i would think trying to access everything from under the car would increase the time taken and your just as good removing the rear bumper. un1eash
The only way you can replace a sensor without removing the bumper is if the sensors unplug from the wiring loom, most kits have wires that go all the way to the control unit and require the bumper to be removed though. I used this guide as i had a problem with one of my sensors also... http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Rear_Bumper_Removal It was cheaper for me to get a whole new Cisbo kit of ebay for the grand total of £17. Ebized
The kit fitted to my previous 350 when new by the supplying Nissan Dealer had leads, which when you pulled the individual sensor out, were capable of being detached from the cable (one of the four) going to the control unit. In that way, by testing with another sensor that was working OK you could tell if it was the sensor (or that small section of supply cable) that was not working, or there was a fault in the cable going to the control unit, or the unit itself.
