Ekona
Anything with Acer on. Pick one that fits the budget and he won't be disappointed, they're very well made laptops and I'm now on my 8th or 9th (that includes personal and work over a number of years, I've yet to break one). maz0
It's a really weird market to try and give advice on mate, just so many brands offering different specs. I would suggest going onto Ebuyer & Scan, going to the laptop section, putting in the minimum spec he wants, i.e. 15" screen, big hard drive for music, mediocre processor and ram. and then altering your specs based on the prices that return. Once you've done that, compare it with Scan.co.uk and see if the prices are similar. Then decide on which brand out of those you want. I could recommend a laptop but it would probably be out of date next week, superseded by a new deal. You just need to research I'm afraid. Also recommend checking hotukdeals for their recent laptop bargains.
