kazman
Hi all, One of the phono plugs on my Bose ICT loom seems to be breaking down. If i waggle the plug the speaker channel will cut in and out. Is there any easy way to just chop the plug and resolder? I have chopped up a couple of leads i had laying around at home, and cant see an easy way to get in to the moulding short of chopping the plug off entirely. Doing this leaves a small insulated wire inside some copper shielding. I dont really want to have to buy another entire loom, so if anyone can tell me if there is a cheap way to deal with this it would be much appreciated! un1eash
Same thing happened to my loom, i just took an old phono lead i had, cut of the plug with some wire and soldered it to the loom wiring.
kazman
Thanks for that. So you cut the wire, strip to back a bit and then strip the insulated wire inside the main black flex and solder that?
