chrislich
Well its been 3 months now since the zed has gone and god am i missing it. Replacing it was the right thing to do in terms of fuel economy as i've gone to a mini cooper s john cooper works but god am i unhappy. Everytime i got in the zed i had a smile on my face it was perfect. I have never been so unhappy with not having a car. I'm giving the mini till summer to really excite me and if not its gone and a zed is coming back i don't care. Rant over i just had to tell someone Chris
Ebized
Yep, difficult to beat the ZED magic - look forward to your return then
CaptainSensible
Is the mini significantly better on fuel? Are you covering a lot of miles? Life is for living my friend and if you're a keen motorist and not enjoying your your current ride get it changed ASAP!
Wasso
My fuel economy has dropped to 15mpg in town - it used to reside at between 19 and 21 mpg - this is painful to the wallet and the eye as I look at my mpg gauge. But you know what, I could be doing 5mpg I wouldn't care - the amount of looks the car still gets, little kids, those in Z4's, Boxsters, TT, and some 911's, I could never change this car out. I still believe that I will get rid of it in 2 years time, but I dread that moment, what will be the next move, will I get another Zed, will I keep the one I have - or will I have no funds left to buy a car because I put too much money into this one and it's now worth nothing at all hardly (lol)!! Nothing can beat the Zed feeling.... We shall see you next year with a nice shinny Zed!!
Chris`I
My Leon FR was only 5MPG better than my Zed and that was a 1.8t. When I looked at the milage I was doing in my old Zed, I couldnt justify down sizing for anything less than a boring small oil burner. The amount of money you loose down sizing makes for a hell of a lot of petrol And my old 350z was cheaper to service than the Leon too! charlotte-sparkles
awwww I know what you mean - my situation isn't as glamorous sadly. I had a vw polo mk4 for nearly 4 years then it get unreliable and had to change to the Punto - I loved my polo, evry mis-firing moment of it - I had such a good time in it and I can't believe I cried when I sold it but it seems material things can make you happy

Either just looking at it or driving it, and being part of this forum and meeting new friends. The zed is definitely not just a car, so glad i got mine and really not looking forward to the time i might have to change it. Then again that would be for a 370 i expect and i could live with that lol
glrnet
A Zed IS a way of life, I'm just sorry it took me until July to find out
brn2484
We were thinking of getting rid of the Z mostly every time it needs fixed, but we are scared how we will feel once its gone, the only alternative I could think of would be the new GTR but there's nothing else I can think off, ANY IDEAS OF AN ALTERNATIVE ????? narcotix
A Zed IS a way of life I totally agree with you on this one ... I really can't see myself getting rid of the Zed anytime in the near (and not so near) future ...
police350z
Mate, lifes to short, the feeling you get driving the Zed far outweighs anything else, don't wait till summer, do it now cos driving the Mini won't give you the pleasure the Zed will EVER, surely you can budget something else out in your life, cancel SKY, have one beer less, stop watching PORN but for Christ sake come to your senses, good luck and see you on here next weeek!!!!! chris84
should have got a scooby. 28-30MPG with more power, seats and boot space. plus 4WD i looked at a john cooper special but they use a lot of fuel especially since you have to drive them that bit harder due to the power drop. even driving eco they're not too great especially if you get the older one with the turbo. think the newer supercharged ones are a little better.
