Guest prescience
Other options you might want to consider are: Injen K&N Typhoon PopCharger Eddmac has a NISMO on a JDM and IIRC there are fitment issues on UK spec cars to do with the headlight washer Payment: http://www.leeparts.com/item-1-42-480-1072.html http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/ ... 6576-RNZ35 http://performancenissanparts.com/catal ... ucts_id=
Removed
I think he means the S-Tune.... I used to have the S-Tune, didnt feel any noticeable gain, in anything, power or noise..... now have a full Cold Air Induction Kit (K&N Typhoon) and it definitely has more of an impact than the S-Tune PS moved to performance
Guest prescience
OK noted. The above links might be of use one day
eddmac
Dorian, theres no MAF on that pic you posted????? Nismo Type 2 has a bypass valve that eliminates the risk of hydrolock. It makes the engine sound more butch and helps the car rev faster I'm VERY happy with mine I would recommend NOT fitting anything without a bypass valve that is piped low down - Just ask spill about his Injen and hydrolock
Space Cadet
Hi Guys, just joined the site and 350Z ownership. Dont want to go down the induction kit, but is the S-Tune panel filter any good/worthwhile? Any other little tips/hints? Thanks.
Removed
for £50 tbh there's no difference in either noise or HP, as a few dyno sessions proved (apart from a duff one, imo, where it gave +9hp which is dreamland lol) easy to fit though, about 5 seconds
Space Cadet
Thanks, probably wont bother then.
StephenG
Take the money you were *going* to spend, put it in a pot. Everytime you think of buying something similar, do the same. Then, when that pot hits the £4K mark, buy a supercharger. And you're looking at 100bhp there and then.
Alex
i was reading on one of the american 350z forums that those pop chargers sometimes caused stalling when driving, like one guy stalled when he was at like 100 changing from 4th to 5th why do u think that is? and would it be the same over here likely?
Guest prescience
mostly stalls are due to the MAF maxing out (i.e exceeding 4.9V) - but not sure why in this case; dirty MAF? Any ancilliary symptoms - did a reset clear the problem
toykilla
panel filter is a good upgrade...take the stocker out and look.. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Part:Air_Filters
Space Cadet
Thanks. Hummmm.... might give it a go, don’t suppose Nismo would bother making one if it didn’t do any good!? Anyway, on a separate note what’s the difference between S-Tune and R-Tune, for instance the panel filter is S-Tune but the brake pads on the link from toykilla are R-Tune?? Removed
panel filter is a good upgrade...take the stocker out and look.. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Part:Air_Filters depends on what you mean with good upgrade mate.... I didn't feel, hear, or dyno any difference with a S-Tune filter Ok it's definitely thinner/allows for more air through, but still
Alex
prescience - not entirely sure if they reset, it did not say. but you think that would make a difference resetting?

I also read that they stall in the US since they put the car in neutral while going (for some strange reason) and some sort of safety fuel cutoff system kicks in shutting the car down..... Yorky
I have a JWT pop-charger and although it looks good, there seems to be negligable gains in performance - 12bhp claimed, but even that is not much on top of 276. I would say overall only buy it for the looks
Removed
and sound possibly, but not the S-Tune filter since it doesnt produce any lol
Guest prescience
Any difference in sound - heard before (excuse the pun) that that's what people liked
